The important part: Attenious is a skill-development and play product. It is not a medical product, does not diagnose or treat any condition, and never replaces a qualified paediatrician. If you have concerns about your child's attention or development, please consult a doctor.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By using this website or the Attenious app, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. We wrote both documents in plain language on purpose.
2. What Attenious is
Attenious is an attention and focus skill-development product for children aged 4 to 10. Children play short, adaptive picture puzzles; parents complete brief check-ins; families receive weekly progress reports. Attenious is designed as a healthy play habit — around ten minutes of puzzles a day — not as screen time to be maximised.
3. Not a medical product
This deserves its own section, because it matters. Nothing in Attenious — including puzzle levels, progress reports, suggestions and any scores — is a medical diagnosis, assessment or treatment. Attenious does not identify, diagnose or manage ADHD, autism or any other condition, and it must never be used to justify, delay or replace medical care. Reports describe how a child engaged with our games; they are not clinical opinions. Always consult a qualified paediatrician for questions about your child's health or development.
4. Eligibility, accounts and parental consent
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an Attenious family account.
- Attenious is intended for children aged 4 to 10, and only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By creating a family account or allowing your child to use Attenious, you confirm you are the parent or legal guardian and that you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.
- No child may create an account by themselves, and the service is not offered to children submitting their own data independently.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure, and for all activity under your account.
5. The waitlist
Joining the waitlist reserves you no guaranteed product, price or launch date. Founding-family pricing and free early access are offered at our discretion and may change before launch. We will send waitlist members a small number of emails about launch and early access, and nothing else. You can leave the waitlist anytime by writing to us.
6. Acceptable use
When using Attenious, you agree not to:
- use it to harass, harm or collect data about children who are not your own;
- attempt to break, probe, overload or reverse-engineer the service or its database, or help anyone else do so;
- use the reports or any content to publicly identify, shame or pressure any child;
- resell, sublicense or commercially exploit any part of the service;
- misrepresent yourself or your relationship to a child when creating an account.
We may suspend or close accounts that put children or the service at risk. Where a child's safety is involved, we will act first and explain after.
7. Your responsibilities as a parent
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide during check-ins, for supervising your child's use of the app, and for deciding how — or whether — to act on the suggestions in our reports. Suggestions are general educational activities, not prescriptions, and no suggestion should be treated as overriding your own judgement or a professional's advice.
8. Reports and suggestions are informational
Weekly reports are descriptive summaries of game activity, generated automatically. They can be wrong — for example, if a child was tired, distracted or sharing the device with a sibling, the data may not reflect them fairly. Treat reports as a conversation starter with your family, not as a verdict on your child.
9. Pricing and payments
The website and waitlist are free today. If paid plans exist after launch, prices and features will be shown clearly before you pay, and founding-family benefits promised to waitlist members will be honoured. If you ever pay for Attenious, you may cancel future renewals at any time; refunds for the current period will follow applicable Indian consumer law and our published policy.
10. Intellectual property
The Attenious name, logo, games, reports, illustrations, text and website are owned by Attenious. You may not copy, resell or republish them without written permission. Your family's data remains yours, as described in the Privacy Policy. Suggestions and ideas you send us are offered freely — we may use general feedback to improve the product, but we will not use your child's data to do so beyond what the Privacy Policy allows.
11. Third-party services
Attenious relies on a small number of service providers (such as our database and email providers), each bound by contract to handle data only on our instructions. Their obligations to us become our responsibility to you; we choose them carefully and keep the list short.
12. Availability and changes
Attenious is pre-launch and provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may add, change, pause or remove features at any time — including before launch. We may also stop the waitlist or the service itself, though we would tell you first if we can. Nothing in these terms promises uninterrupted or error-free operation.
13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) Attenious is not a medical device, service or advice; (b) we do not warrant that the service, reports or suggestions are accurate, complete or fit for any particular purpose; (c) we do not warrant that the service will be available at all times or free of defects; and (d) you use the service and act on its content entirely at your own discretion.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Attenious and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the service — including decisions made in reliance on reports or suggestions. Our total liability for anything connected with Attenious is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, for the free waitlist and free early access, is zero). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Attenious harmless from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.
16. Termination
You can stop using Attenious and delete your family's data at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, for legal reasons, or to protect children or the service. On termination, your rights under the Privacy Policy (including deletion) survive, and so do the sections of these terms that by their nature should survive — including sections 3, 10, 13, 14 and 17.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Before escalating any dispute to court, we would appreciate the chance to fix it — write to info@attenious.in and we will engage genuinely. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
18. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we will notify waitlist members and account holders by email and update the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use Attenious after a change means you accept the updated terms.
19. Contact
